Captain Blackbeard

 Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, was a famous pirate born around 1680 in Bristol, England. He likely moved to the Caribbean in the early 1700s. Blackbeard was known for his long, thick black beard, which he often decorated with ribbons. His scary look and the way he lit slow-burning fuses in his beard made him a frightening figure to his enemies. He died on November 22, 1718, at about 35 to 40 years old, after causing fear along the American coast and in the Caribbean.
